At Ballanorris Farm you will usually find a very small herd of the most well cared for and contended beef cattle to be found probably anywhere on the island. It is for this reason that the Looney Brothers combine two lifetimes of experience, and the pinnacle of hay making technology (the unsurpassed and very rare 'Dicky' turner), to capture the finest hay possible at the peak of condition. Many people think that haymaking is simply cutting grass, scattering it about a bit, leaving it for a day, squishing it into a bale and sticking it in a barn, job done.   If you need a good quality log store for your firewood we would like to highly recommend the family run business at wood works. You may have seen there fine work on show at the agricultural shows, with high quality and very reasonably priced bespoke garden furniture including picnic benches, larch panels, arbours, planters and rose arches. We have discussed the idea of producing some high quality log stores with them and if you are interested in one you will find them extremely helpful and easy to deal with. They have access to a wealth of experience in the timber industry are experts in all things wood. We have discussed some basic designs and can provide photographs as a starting point for your designs.
